Greens advocate for long-term investments in health, education, infrastructure, community based economic development, social responsibility, and green technology as the sane way toward a sustainable future.

hands vote

Greens hold public representatives at every level of government fully accountable to the people who elect them. We will also work to support political entities which expand the process of participatory democracy by directly including citizens in the decision-making process.

We must consciously confront in ourselves, our organizations, and society at large, barriers such as racism and class oppression, sexism and homophobia, ageism and disability, which act to deny fair treatment and equal justice under the law.

peace sign

Greens recognize the need for self-defense as well as the defense of others who are in helpless situations, but oppose war for economic gain, prisons for profit, and a militarized police force at home. We advocate for deescalation and non-violent methods to promote lasting personal, community and global peace.

We are part of nature, not separate from nature. Future generations will benefit and not suffer if we practice agriculture which replenishes the soil; move to an energy efficient economy; and live with respect for the integrity of our natural systems.

Local politics matter Seattle.

Think globally, and act locally. Progressive candidates can only move up on the political food chain if they are elected locally. On the local level there is no electoral college, your vote is... your vote. Seattle Democracy Vouchers are increasing voter turnout because candidates now have an opportunity to run on grassroots funding.
Green Party of Washington State has candidates for 2018, what about Seattle?

Our membership consists of free-thinking individuals who do not always agree with each other on how to get there, but we are united by these core Green Party values that point us in the direction of a brighter future.
The Green Party, is a global organization of individuals and communities around the world that believe sustainability is not a fringe idea.
