MLK 2026 March and Rally at Seattle’s Garfield High School
Greens meetup between the steps and the flagpole, wear something green like a hat or a scarf, comfortable shoes, and bring a water bottle or beverage. The route is not published ahead of time. All ages are welcome to join this long walk, expect some hills, so a wagon or stroller may be needed for little kids. Parents know how it is.

Lots of positive Solidarity with groups like 350 Seattle, FairVote, Washington Against Nuclear War, Whole Washington, Veterans For Peace, and others.
When: Monday, January 19, 2026. March starts at 12:30, we will start to gather at 12 noon.
Volunteers: Would you like to table outside from 8am to 11am? This might be an option for Greens who like to socialize, but don't want to do the whole march. We will have lit and talking points.
Where: Garfield High School, 400 23rd Ave, Seattle 98122
Workshops: Throughout the morning, there will be educational workshops and a job fair for young people. Later, there will be speeches and of course, the Lift Every Voice and Sing, the 'black national anthem'.

SMLKOC is staffed by grassroots volunteers that bring community together, mentor youth leaders, and build meaningful coalitions for Peace.
